I. Product Overview
The grooved rising stem resilient seated gate valve integrates a rising stem structure, grooved-end connection, and resilient sealing design. The exposed stem moves synchronously with the gate, allowing direct visual indication of the valve’s open or closed status. Grooved ends on both sides of the valve body enable quick pipe connection using couplings, eliminating the need for welding or threading. The gate and seat are sealed using elastic materials such as NBR (nitrile rubber) or EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber).
This valve is suitable for media such as clean water, sewage, domestic hot water, and neutral liquids. It operates under temperatures ≤100℃ and working pressure ≤1.6 MPa, making it ideal for water supply and drainage systems, municipal pipelines, HVAC in buildings, and light industrial piping. It is primarily used for fluid shut-off or regulation. The rising stem design facilitates status monitoring, the grooved connection supports rapid installation, and the resilient sealing ensures reliable performance.
II. Product Features
• Rising Stem Design: The stem rises and falls with the gate, and its exposed length directly indicates the valve’s position. No additional indicators are required, making it especially suitable for systems requiring real-time valve status monitoring.
• Grooved-End Connection: Enables fast and easy installation using grooved couplings. This reduces construction time and cost, ensures stable sealing performance, and simplifies future maintenance and disassembly—ideal for rapid deployment scenarios.
• Resilient Sealing Structure: Uses high-quality elastic materials that tightly conform to the sealing surfaces. When closed, the valve achieves zero or near-zero leakage. It adapts well to various media and effectively prevents fluid leakage, protecting pipeline integrity.
• Durable Materials: The valve body is made of ductile iron, offering high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. After anti-corrosion treatment, it performs well in humid or mildly corrosive environments. The stem is made of stainless steel, providing rust resistance and wear durability for extended service life.
• Efficient Flow: When fully open, the gate is completely lifted, resulting in a smooth flow path with minimal resistance. This ensures strong flow capacity and efficient fluid transmission, reducing energy consumption in the pipeline system.
• Flexible Operation: Primarily operated manually (via handwheel), with optional electric actuators for remote control. Manual operation requires low torque and provides smooth opening and closing. Electric actuation supports automation and suits various operating conditions.
• Compact and Versatile: The valve combines the visibility of a rising stem, the convenience of grooved connections, and the tightness of resilient sealing. Its balanced performance and wide applicability make it suitable for a broad range of civil and industrial fluid control systems.
III. Main Standards
Design, performance, and installation of the valve comply with the following national standards:
• GB 5135.11-2019 – Automatic Sprinkler System – Part 11: Grooved Pipe Fittings • GB/T 12234-2019 – Steel Gate Valves for Petroleum, Petrochemical, and Related Industries • GB/T 13927-2008 – Industrial Valves – Pressure Testing
Specific technical parameters, performance indicators, and installation guidelines should be based on the product’s factory-issued technical documentation.
